This is the first 3D animation we did at Funny Little Men. Originally it was only going to be a few seconds, it now runs over 30 seconds and took more than 8 months of evenings and weekends to finish. We got a bit carried away.

Geek-talk:

Modelling was done in Silo and later on in Modo. All animation and rendering was done in Electric Image Animation System. The music was done in Reason using ReVision. A beta version of Rodeo, a dynamics plug-in for Electric Image Animation System was used to animate the boxes.

How are we going to explain this one to our mums? This is actually a job we did for HRA. But it felt a bit like a personal project at times. Done in Moho. The music was never to our liking, we always imagined it had to be some reggae tune to keep it all a bit more laid-back. It won a prize at Annecy for best educational film, but no Funny Little Men employees were there to collect it, d'oh.

Milkman

Now this brings back memories. Our very first Flash animation. We came up with this character and struggled for a while to find a suitable story. All the ideas we came up with involved the milkman going around and impregnating all the woman in the neighbourhood. Sometimes it's hard to break away from clichés.

And another animation involving a cat. This time we managed to keep our enthusiasm curbed and stopped at 6 seconds. No sound.

It's done in a cute little 2D animation app called Moho, these days better known as Anime Studio Pro. We keep calling it Moho though.
